Ontario ADP Program

Ontario Assistive Devices Program (ADP)

Financial assistance for Ontario residents with long-term physical disabilities

Use your ADP grant to shop at CanAll Medical — you choose where to buy your supplies.

What is the Assistive Devices Program?

The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and helps people with long-term physical disabilities pay for specialized medical supplies and equipment. For ostomy supplies, catheters, and other grant-based products, the ADP pays a grant directly to you — meaning you can purchase your supplies from any retailer, including CanAll Medical.

How Much Funding is Available?

Standard Grant

$975

per ostomy, per year

Paid in 2 installments (every 6 months)

Social Assistance / LTC

$1,300

per ostomy, per year

For Ontario Works, ODSP, ACSD recipients or long-term care residents

Note: ADP funds a maximum of 2 ostomies per person. You are responsible for any costs above the grant amount.

Who is Eligible?

To qualify for the ADP ostomy supplies grant, you must meet the following criteria:

✅ Be a permanent resident of Ontario with a valid OHIP health card
✅ Have a long-term physical disability lasting 6 months or more
✅ Require ostomy supplies for daily living
✅ Have your application completed by a doctor or nurse practitioner

Income is not a factor — the ADP does not consider your income when determining eligibility.

You are NOT eligible if:
• You already receive funding for the same supplies from the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)
• You are a Group “A” veteran receiving funding from Veterans Affairs Canada for the same supplies
