Virkon

Virkon is a broad spectrum virucidal, bactericidal and fungicidal disinfectant built on a buffered synergized acid peroxygen system with a high surfactant content, so it cleans and disinfects in a single operation. It is suited to barns, stables, animal housing, veterinary and healthcare facilities, animal shelters and non critical equipment, and it has been tested effective at temperatures as low as 4 degrees Celsius. Standard dilution is a 1 percent w/v solution, which is one tablet per 500 mL of warm water, with a 10 minute contact time. Do not exceed 30 minutes of contact on metal. The made up solution turns pink to confirm activity and fades to white as it loses potency, typically after about 7 days, at which point it should be discarded and replaced. At 1 percent the solution is low toxicity, non tainting and non irritant, with a mild lemon scent. Apply manually or through spraying equipment. Jar of 50 tablets, 5 grams each.
